Stopping AOL Service

When I moved into my apartment in January, I signed up for one of those free trials of AOL, so I could get online to find a better ISP. I signed up with my current ISP, and uninstalled AOL from my comp, but didn’t discontinue service. Well, now I’m all unemployed, and AOL is billing my account for a service I’m not using, and their website tells me that I need to go to “AOL Keyword: BILLING” to talk to them about billing information. Isn’t there just a number I can call? Or, failing that, how do I read “AOL Keyword: BILLING” when I’m not on AOL? Also, I don’t remember what my account name even was anymore. Can anyone help me?

The phone number for account cancellations is: 1-888-265-8008

And FYI, you won’t get any of that money back. They will NOT back down on that. Trust me, I tried.

They don’t have to back down on that. Whether the service was used or not is irrelevant. What’s relevant is that they had provided access to an account. It’s up to the person who had that access to either use it or not use it.

aaaah I know where you’re coming from… they tried to collect nearly 200 dollars from me for >6 months… eventually they changed the name on the bills to my mom’s name, and she called, explained that I’m a minor, and they dropped everything
