The Itchy Butt chicken restaurant here in Honolulu. I think “itchy butt” is a play on some Japanese or Korean term.
Possibly. I remember having both in my West Texas hometown but cannot say if they were there at the same time.

There’s (at least there was 15 years ago) a Chinese/Mexican restaurant in Phoenix called Chino Bandido. Made me cringe every time I saw it.
I don’t like businesses that play on curse words in their names. There’s a BBQ place here called Shigs in Pit.
How many cities in the US have a business (or 2, or more) named Three Rivers _____? So many cities were founded in places where 2 rivers conjoined and created a river with a new name, or two rivers both happened to flow into a big one. I’ve lived in 2 such cities, and sometimes get confused by it. “Wait, is this a chain? Because there was the same company in another town 4 states away.”
When the chain was in the process of closing down, a lot of the restaurants were sold to Denny’s. Others became Bakers Square restaurants.
There used to be a computer store near me called “Computers R Me” complete with a big red R in the middle, now using the word “R Me” would instantly make you think it’s trying to do a weird parody of “Toys R Us”, but “R Me” was meant to stand for “Army” apparently since all their local TV ads had horrendously bad CGI tanks driving around.
Why they went with “Computers R Me” and not “Computer Army” I have no idea.
When my sister went to the beach a few years ago with some friends, they saw a restaurant named “Tarbaby’s”.
Are you kidding – that’s one of the best!
I think there’s a liquor store named “Bunghole Liquors”.
Kum & Go recently opened a lot of locations in central Arkansas. The gas station/store franchise started in the mid-West.
The large sign is a head turner. I can only assume the suggestive name is deliberate. No way could anyone be that naive. A spelling change doesn’t fool anybody.
Please say they sell T-shirts.
The shirts are on eBay.

Side Note: Lolitas, a nationwide chain of BJ bars in Thailand, used to sell T-shirts that said, “I Got Blown Away at Lolitas.” A guy told me had one and wore it here stateside, California I think it was, but said he stopped after one time in line somewhere, some other guy said very loudly, “OH HEY, ISN’T THAT THAT BLOWJOB PLACE IN BANGKOK?”
right after 9/11 local media found a restaurant near Ft Bragg called Osama’s Place. I assume they either went bust or changed the name. Also Isis pharma is now Ionis Pharma.
The origin of the name Canola:
I learned about this a few weeks ago while listening to “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” or “Ask Me Another.”
