I wouldn’t. Wouldn’t most pairings, though, be a gay woman marrying a gay man? Why involve a heterosexual?
I think you and I have a very different idea of business partnerships! ![]()
What’s the old saying- God made wives for duty and mistresses for love? Or something like that.
I can think of situations where I would be willing to marry a lesbian, but it would have to be an open marriage with a strong prenup and no children involved.
That opinion piece is rather rage inducing, though. The LDS church is so deeply against same-sex marriage that members have to resort to drastic levels of cognitive dissonance to justify their belief that the only valid family unit is a “mother and father.” The gist of the article is that same-sex marriage isn’t necessary because marriage is already equal since gay people can marry the opposite sex just like everyone else.
I’m sure all the pray-the-gay-away LDS couples have long, happy marriages ahead of them. I feel very sorry for the children of such marriages.
I could see being someone’s beard for a while, but not the level of marriage. And I would expect there to be some sort of tradeoff, where I get something out of it, too.
Not really. It would be a business partnership for the production of heirs, which would necessarily involve sex.
