Hi. My name is BlueMit11 and I’m a drummer. Me and this other dude have been writing songs and practicing them for a couple of weeks-he plays guitar and I play drums. I don’t, however, have my drumset setup at his place (where we practice) because it is so distractingly crappy that I don’t want to bother with the taking down and setting up process. I made the mistake of buying a cheap (in musical merchandise terms-which happen to be fairly high) drumset to start off with, and it is now beat to hell and the hi-hat stand is broken. Anyways, because of this and the fact that I need an alternative to drumming to work on my drumming wrist, I was wondering if anybody knew any good-ahem-wrist workouts.
At my kung fu school, we do a lot of sword techniques that require tremendous wrist strenght. To get our puny wrists up to the proper level, we use lead pipes of varying lengths (wrapped in duct tape for safety). Just get yourself something long and heavy, and practice rotating it with your arm stretched out. Go through as many different types of movements as you can, so as to work your wrist to the fullest. Good Luck!

While this exercise only works the muscles on one plane I think it’s the MVP of wrist exercises:

BTW, I’m in no way recommending that site, just the exercise. I just googed wrist roller. You don’t need a store bought device, just two dowels and some rope.
Browse ironmind.com they specialize in grip/wrist strength stuff.
I have no affiliation with that website other than as an infrequent customer of theirs.
