On King of the Hill, there are several things about Buck Strickland that make it seem like he’s a parody of LBJ- he looks like him, he likes to hold meetings while he’s on the toilet, he even has a picture that makes it look like he’s lifting a dog up by his ears (he’s really lifting up the dog’s ears because it’s deaf). But it never really goes farther than that, and Buck’s a pretty complete character himself.
Anybody ever notice stuff like that in other shows, stuff that you’re just not sure whether or not the creators meant?
