Last night, I had a dream of making one stuffed with Saffron Rice.
Before I beat my head against the brick wall that is google for this, do any of you dopers have a recipe for something similiar? I am hoping to just use a package of Saffron Rice, as I’m not sure how to make Saffron Rice from scratch.
I don’t have a recipe for one with saffron rice, but I have made a stuffed tenderloin using dried fruit. Apples, apricots, raisins, etc. go in the sliced tenderloin, which is then tied with butcher’s twine & roasted. I prefer to season mine with either cinnamon or Penzeys Baking Spice. My ex-husband uses caraway seeds. The fruit reconstitutes (sort of) and you can make a nice sauce with the fruit & the drippings.
