What places do you have reason to carry a gun?
I’ve been to campgrounds where rattlesnakes had been spotted; I saw people carrying revolvers and figured that was probably a good idea. They were loaded with shot of some size so there was less chance of serious injury on a ricochet.
And they were more likely to hit it while screaming, “Oh fuck! It’s a rattlesnake!”
Interesting that he was not violating any laws and the cops let him go. Doesn’t seem to matter to you.

Just because it is legal doesn’t mean it is not stupid. Carrying an AR-15 into Kroegers is a stupid thing to do, especially if you are against gun control. Nothing will get guns banned quicker than gunstrokers insisting on carrying their big black guns everywhere. Just because it is legal doesn’t make it prudent.

The N.R.A. must just be bustin’ with pride over this one. While they wholeheartedly support the manufacture and focused marketing of weapons for 5 year olds, the uptick of 4 year olds and 3 year olds and even younger exercising their God-given 2nd Amendment Rights to bear and use arms in the lawful protection of themselves and their property and their liberties is an encouraging sign. The N.R.A. sees this next-generation involvement as the insurance of continuity of their agenda well into the 2030’s and beyond.

As a gun owner and ex-NRA member, I have no problem with gun rights.
I DO have a big problem with stupidity - particularly whe it comes to guns. There are limits to all rights and exceeding those limits often becomes quite stupid.
And then there’s the admirable case of Detective Joseph Walker. No arguing that he knows right from wrong- and he sure showed that bad person a thing or two about America and the Constitution !! I bet that’s the very last time that Joseph Harvey, Jr. ever dares to mouth of to a law-abiding gun-toting protector of our 2nd Amendment rights- especially because he’s dead.

Apparently, in Cartoon’s world, getting charged with second-degree murder is a promotion and an attaboy. This enables one to draw all kinds of conclusions about Cartoon himself.
Allow me to introduce you to the interesting concept known as “sarcasm”. If you peruse my posts in this thread and other threads on Gun Control and Gun-related murders, you will see that I cite accurately. I use new data- frequently the crimes are less than 30 days old in my cites. Sometimes within a few days of the post.
Since you’re either baiting- and I have zero problem stating my position clearly- or are breathtakingly thick, allow me to clarify: I oppose all ownership of guns outside of the military and recognized law enforcement. Even with law enforcement, my last cite shows how completely inappropriate it is to carry a loaded weapon when not on duty. I oppose the use of firearms in any civilian setting for any reason. I have had first hand as well as family and friends whose lives have been directly impacted by the working end of a loaded firearm. They are a curse upon this country and in my humble opinion- which is as valid as anyone else’s on the Dope- the 2nd Amendment has been perverted by a powerful and dangerous lobby into something that would disgust and horrify the framers of my Constitution.
