Fantasizing regularly about being in a scenario in which you will need to draw so quickly that you need to have a round chambered and be able to simultaneously click the safety off as you draw is the product of having a full diaper at the prospect of going out in the world.
Missed the edit window: As for preparedness, I can name 100 life threatening scenarios that you are not preparing for at all. The problem is that it doesn’t fill gaps in one’s self-esteem to quick draw their “everyday carry” maglite or to have their MRE chambered in their fanny pack.
That’s funny coming from a guy who quakes in his boots at the thought of black rifles being legal.
Nope. The I know you are but what am I move is still pathetic - very much the product of a child-like mind.
Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt. If you are really that scared, you should arm yourself.
Are you 10 years old or what?
If I really am what scared?
I’m not the one fantasizing about and prepping for the time I’m gonna have to quick draw on someone in my daily life.
In fairness, someone must be very afraid of the world to think that he needs a gun to go to the Piggly Wiggly.
I don’t have a serpa holster on my hip anymore for that very reason. I have a paddle holster, its more comfortable and more concealed. I think a serpa holster only really makes sense in an open carry situation where someone will try and grab my gun.
Right, or to think that black rifles are such a threat that they need to be outlawed. I understand completely. The chances of something bad happening at one, or with the other, are very low. Though not zero:
And did you have to take it out of the safe first? Seems like it would take more time than racking the slide.
Of course not, if it were in the safe I would have been killed. I don’t have kids so I keep a defensive gun by my bed when I’m home, lock it up with the rest when I leave.
What is the little gun safe in the wrong girl/Glock/R Lee Ermy commercial?
I had to google it. This one?
http://www.amazon.com/Gunvault-GV1000D-Mini-Vault-Deluxe/dp/B002HOLG2II don’t have any personal experience with it but if it’s reliable I like the concept, especially if you have kids at home.
Differebt commercial, but sane safe.
Thanks!
According to the NRA’s latest op-ed, you’d better buy your guns now (before the end of Q1, preferably), since the collapse of western civilization is right around the corner - not only is Obama going to allow al-Qaeda to sneak in from Mexico and launch a guerilla war so he can ban guns, but the police department is going to disband because of the stimulus, and only the people with AR-15s (now only $999.99! Easy payment plans available- call today!) will be safe from the hordes of looters, Mexicans, terrorists, “Euro-style debt riots”, and civil war.
You mean hippies didn’t make the list this time? Groovy.
I think Wayne can be a bit over the top at times but I just looked up the kidnapping part in Phoenix and it’s legit:
Glad I got a few AR15s already.
“Legit” is a benign exaggeration, it has a basis in fact, true.
and
Perhaps you could loan one of your weapons to some of those guys standing around at Home Depot, looking to snag a little work gardening or roofing? Seems like they may need it more than you.
So we agree? Are you suggesting we should be happy or unhappy that most of the kidnappings are illegals?
