Stupid Gun news of the day (Part 1)

Yes, we’re somehow just totally different, right? If you can explain how, you’d be the first. Ever.

Know what? We don’t have that here, either.

It’s a change from “O’Bummer”, at least.

 Folks, did ElvisL1ves’s response have anything to do with what I said?

Nope. I think that he’s saying because you support the Bill of Rights, that makes you a fascist and terrorist, obviously. But all the spittle, shoe-pounding, screaming and drool makes it hard to understand the tirades.

You really don’t get that being in the minority does not make the majority “tyrannical”, or call for you to grab your shootin’ iron and show 'em what Freedom means? Because that’s what you’re telling us is your understanding of democracy.

First of all, prove he’s in the minority. Depending on what question is asked, how it’s asked and to whom it is asked, the % go all over the place.

Next of all the Founding Fathers very intelligently made it vote of* The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, … shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, *

Thus avoiding the "tyranny of the majority " and constant swings in popular opinion.

IMHO the Founding Fathers got it right. Damn me for a gun-nut, a fascist, and a terrorist, **but I support the Constitution of the United States of America. **

Point is, he wouldn’t accept it if he was. He’d go straight to the “tyranny” nonsense, because it’s all he understands. His concept of government is not We the People, but of some oppressive alien presence imposed on us.

Including the part that explains what the Second Amendment is intended for? No, you do not. But then, you aren’t even at the point of understanding that every right is limited, so, well, let us know when you grow up.

So, you got nuthin, then? :dubious:

Well the fucking **Supreme Court of the United States **disagrees with you.

Damn them for being gun-nuts, fascists, and terrorists, and ignoring your views- the views of the most expert legal expert evar.

Nothing you’re willing to consider, conflicting as it does with your fetishism.

Damn me for a gun-nut, a fascist, and a terrorist… and a fetishist, then- but **I **still support the Constitution of the United States of America. I kinda like being on the same side as a majority of the the fucking Supreme Court of the United States .

Responsible, law abiding gun owner shoots two, kills one at Texas Southern University.

Carson missed “the next one”, so he can go to this one instead. Or the next one after this. Or …

So where was that shit head, “Good Guy With A Gun” ?

In my experience the person making shouty appeals to authority is the one who doesn’t have an actual argument. And if you’re referring to the Heller decision, you might want to actually read it sometime. It supports ElvisL1ves view.

Actually people who call anyone who disagrees with them gun-nuts, fascists, terrorists, and fetishists are the ones who have no argument. My argument is backed by the Bill of Rights and the Supreme Court of the United States. No better authority is there.

I have. No, it doesn’t.

Two school shootings in one day!
Go USA! Go USA!

Both of the Friday shootings involving college students seem to have been cases of escalated altercation or regular street violence, not “active campus shooter” atacks. And the Texas one was not even on campus properly but the area did have a bit of a history of violent crime.

Initial reports on the Northern Arizona U incident seem to speak to an attitude that when faced with being on the losing side of a common streetfight, you don’t get the hell outta there, you go get your gun. Probably thinking that this will make* the others* stand down and run or surrender, forgetting that you don’t draw unless prepared for the ultimate consequences.

However it is a bit of an odd thing for me that NAU does not allow carrying your gun in their facilities or keeping it in the dorms but you can keep it in the car in the parking lot. So it’s only* sort of *gun free? And if someone steals your car or breaks in to rob your goods, hey, free gun!

Man goes shootin’ for an intruder … shoots wife instead.

Maybe she was a bad wife, with no gun.

And, in Texas:
