I thought it was illegal to lie to LEOs. Or have I just been watching too many cop shows?
I’ll pull part of a post by rbroome as a summary.
No excuse for the cinema patron’s overreaction, but on the bright side, maybe this will scare little Damien straight.
Well okay, so guns aren’t always bad then.
Welcome to the United States. It has been [0] days since the last mass shooting.

Sad.
Drove past that neighborhood yesterday evening. Million dollar homes, views of Puget Sound and the Olympics - and disgruntled ex-boyfriend.
… and many families that will never be the same.
Now is not the time, thoughts and prayers, etc. ad nauseam.
In an apparent murder-suicide in suburban St. Louis, four members of a family were pushed off ladders into a swimming pool.
Nah, I’m just joshing you. They were all shot.
Shouldn’t this be in the Good Guns thread? Perp desisted, no innocent blood shed?
Diud I read the news story correctly — police arrested the victim?
Is there any evidence that the shooter was a ‘responsible gun owner’ other than the blathering snark of the article’s author?
Aren’t all owners good guys with guns?
Aren’t all people who refuse to carry spineless wusses?
The guy was a white man born in the U.S.A. (not like some of these terrorists from Kenya or Uzbekiwekisbekistan); he purchased his gun in accordance with his God-given American right; and wielded it in pursuit of patriotic virtues including freedom of speech, self-defense, citizen’s arrest and freedom from tyranny. The police have not made an arrest and it appears that the free-speech suppression perp, out of respect for 2nd Amendment rights, is not cooperating in apprehension of the patriot.
Why do you hate America,** Projammer** ?
We are exercising our God given rights.
The guy who carries is a cowardly wuss. The gun is the worst possible way to address any problem (aside from maybe a rabid coyote). I mean, the good guys with guns hid in a classroom and waited for the police at the Umpqua Community College shootfest, rather than try to take the guy down.
Didn’t feel like starting a new thread so thought I’d ask here.
I live in Colorado currently. My neighbor carries a gun stuck in his back waistband. No holster or anything, it’s just tucked there. Sometimes he pulls his shirt down over it, sometimes not.
Is this open carry or concealed carry? Is a holster optional?
I’m not from the CO area, but generally speaking, it’s considered open carry if the visible part is readily identifiable as a weapon.
A quick search reveals that no permit is required for concealed carry on your own property which is the standard for most states as well.
Woman fatally shot playing ‘officer’ in Florida police academy drill
This is why you use a training gun, unable to fire any live ammo and brightly colored to separate it from the real thing.
Or at least confirm the gun (a revolver in this case) is unloaded and the use of blanks confirmed.
Better yet, don’t use real guns in training.
