During the LA riots, the rioters looted and burned down half of Koreatown on the first night. They were aiming to burn down the other half the second night but the storeowners (faced with the destruction of their livelihoods) armed themselves and the show of force prevented any more stores in Koreatown from being looted or burned down. Those TVs represented the livelihoods of the families that own those stores, should the storeowners have let their stores be looted and resigned themsleves to the ruin of their families?
It really seems like you are defending the right of criminals to commit crimes without fear of injury or death. If there are grievances against the police, then that’s fine. But why should the the families of these storeowners be ruined?
