Would you care to point to any posts or provide any proof because AFAICT no one has ever posted any proof that legal ownership of guns results in more innocent deaths.
Heck, most of you guys can’t even figure out how many gun deaths are the result of legal gun ownership and you can’t seem to wrap your mind around the idea that guns may have saved some lives.

I suppose Elvis might be talking about licensing and registration but he has never been particularly open to the idea of leaving the legal ownership of guns on the table. His ultimate goal has always been a total gun ban (at least in this thread).
If he is talking about licensing and registration I am clearly on the record as being in favor of gun control reform that includes these things.
Well, if we banned guns only criminals would be killing innocents. If we don’t ban guns, every gun owner could kill an innocent. Since criminals are a minority and thus fewer people, I’d assume there would be fewer innocent deaths.

There are plenty of countries where gun control has abjectly failed to reduce violence and crime. Not just that poor backwards countries have high gun crime rates- that they instituted gun control as a result, and it didn’t work. Venezuela for example banned the private possession of guns in 2012; the per-capita murder rate continues to climb, and now reportedly police there are being ambushed and murdered for their guns. In Venezuela at least, gun control is apparently not only of zero effectiveness but actively counter-productive.
