This is the result when you have cops afraid to confront an active shooter, like in Texas. Parents think “no one is going to protect my kid, so I have to.” And these days, I’m not sure they’re wrong.
I can sympathize with the parents but this creates a more dangerous situation. The cops show up for an active shooter report and see someone brandishing or possibly shooting a gun. Bad guy or parent?
I predict (please let me be wrong!) that within a couple of months cops are going to shoot a parent in a situation just like this one. It’s inevitable.
I agree; after Uvalde, I can understand why some parents might want to show up themselves to confront an active shooter. It’s still a bad idea to have random armed people at a chaotic situation like that.
I realize I wasn’t clear: I personally don’t think the parents should be running off ready for armed conflict. That was lies madness and one “good guy with a gun” killing another “good guy with a gun”. But I can see why parents would want to. I wouldn’t trust the cops, either.
'Member folks! Toy guns are so dangerous that cops will kill you children at first sight if they’re playing with them, but designing and selling guns specifically for children is a business opportunity!
Child plays with loaded gun, fires it. Another younger child appears afterwards. Does not appear that anyone was hit. This was linked in a Reddit post so I don’t know the original source of the video.
I blame Obama. All the gun control legislation he and the demon-crats passed forced them to stock up with guns before all those new laws came into effect. Same with the ammo, Feds were buying it all up so they had to take steps before the counters were bare. Perfectly logical, totally justified, freedom, FREEdom, FREEDOM!!!
1000 weapons of a decent quality probably average close to a thousand dollars each. A million bucks, unless they bought junk! Probably maybe $150K in ammo, depending on caliber.
So the price of a large house, or a small Ferrari, for something that ultimately never got used. Guns will probably be scrapped. Sp we got two dead guys and the only one that comes out ahead are the gun sellers and manufacturers.
