And this is also why when people talk about the numbers of self defense uses, I have to question that number. How often does one claim to be engaging in self defence when it’s actually a case like this where they are just threatening an innocent person?

Not directly gun news but certainly stupid. Texas is offering to put kids’ DNA on file.
Presumably so they can identify the bodies after the next school shooting, although they won’t say that out loud. It’s easier to identify the bodies than to stop gun violence.
I’m sure that none of the conspiracy theorists who are afraid that the government is tracking them, have any concern about giving their kids’ DNA to the government.
