Yeah, well I still have a bone to pick with him. (Get it? I’m a riot…)
Pro Tip: When being served an eviction notice, “I’ll just shoot em”… isn’t going to help.

I suppose it’s one way to guarantee you’ll never have to worry about housing again, one way or the other.
But yes, please don’t shoot people.
Exactly.
That said, that story drips with desperation: eviction, loss of your home. All of your prized belongings, family heirlooms, records… put out at the curb as ‘trash’. Having nowhere to go, nowhere to sleep or stay out of the rain (maybe a car?). To become homeless; to know that your future is to live under a bridge fighting off other people who want to steal what few things you have left.
I can’t help but wonder, if they had thought or planned ahead, whether they could have rented a U-haul and filled it with their most precious/essential things. If they could have begged/pleaded with family /friends to let them stay with them or sleep on their property until they could find way to obtain and maintain a place of their own again.
I wonder if all doors were closed to them due to mental illness/derangement… the same derangement that would make them think that they could ‘shoot their way outta this’ .
resolution to stupid gun news from last year
Good, fuck that guy. Was happy the judge took a giant shit on him, too.
“I think you really could possibly do the same thing again,” Washington County Judge Adam Michelini told Kevin Monahan before imposing his sentence for second-degree murder. “It’s obvious to me that you feel justified. You don’t take any responsibility for the outcome of your actions. You just don’t get it.”
…
Michelini added, “Any remorse you have isn’t for the harm you’ve caused. The only regret you have is that you’re finally facing the consequences for your actions. You murdered Kaylin Gillis. You shot at a car full of people and you didn’t care what would happen and you repeatedly lied about it. You deserve to spend the maximum time in prison allowable under our law, and I don’t make this decision because it’s easy. I make it because it’s what’s deserved. I make it because it’s what’s just.”

The guys castle lacks a moat.
Wasn’t there someone on this board who attempted to argue that shooting at anyone that rang your doorbell was justified because it constituted a threat?
His new one will have parapet guard towers and regular patrols by guards…
The old one did, before it burned down, fell over and sank into the swamp.
Missouri has a gun buy back program to get guns out of circulation by destroying them. Tony Lovasco (R) has a better idea… sell 'em for a dollar.
Oh great, what’s next…?
Giving them away under the seats at talk show tapings…?
“You’ve got a Glock…! And You’ve got a Glock…! And You’ve got a Glock…! And You Too!
You’ve All got a Glock…!”
‘From each according to his ability to pay, to each according to his need for a pew-pew.’
So much for the party that hates socialism.
Ah yes. Missouri is well known as a hot bed of show tapings. ;-p
True. I remember that 1IOTA listed one or two shows that taped in Branson back in the day, but they seem to have folded.
Tennessee mom fishes keys out of purse, her gun “goes off” and kills her 13-year-old daughter. Another responsible gun owner has an accident completely beyond her control…
Seems amazing how accurate those bullets can be when then get out unintentionally.
I can see how it’s technically possible for a hand rummaging around a purse to knock the safety switch off… and if the trigger pull is set light enough… maybe hit the trigger for a negligent discharge.
I do Not see why she would have felt the need to keep a round in the chamber.
Something isn’t right there.
I agree, to add my morbid speculation. I predict a murder charge. And I watch lots of true crime shows, so that makes me an expert.
If you’re drawing to meet a threat, it takes time to chamber a round. Hence the need for a holster to prevent just this kind of negligent discharge.
