A lot worse than that - the harassment and threats were so bad they had to flee their home, which was then set on fire. When they returned they discovered the skull of their murdered pet dog on display. While they were dealing with the horror of that, they were accosted and Joss shot and killed.
I get your point but it usually means “Did not shoot him deliberately” to distinguish it from murder. But accidental shootings are usually due to incompetence or negligence. But then again so are most car accidents. The articles on this are pretty light on facts so we don’t know the circumstances. But we can be pretty sure that the gun didn’t fire while it had the safety on in a locked safe.
Some dude entered 345 Park Avenue in Manhattan NY on Monday and shot up a bunch of people with an M4-style assault rifle. In his parting note (as he also killed tie shooter) he claimed to have CTE and was pissed at tie NFL, although he failed to shoot up their offices, due to an elevator error.
The best part, though, is that he bought the weapon from his boss back in Vegas, in what looks a lot like a straw purchase. The boss also sold him the car he used to get across the country.
Apparently some things that happen in Vegas leak out of there a bit.
There’s also this photo making the rounds from the Blackstone offices:
It has been rather painfully pointed out that the reason they worked so quickly to barricade the door against an active shooter is because many of the employees are in their mid-20s and likely learned to do this in second grade.
North Carolina man shoots himself in the butt at Walmart parking lot.
“Make sure you know how to operate and handle a firearm before you purchase one," Adams said. “Attend some training. Make sure you have a good quality holster. Pocket is not safe. It could go off, putting it in or taking it out if you don’t have some type of holster.”
This makes me think of all those TV shows where the hero grabs a gun and shoves it behind his back under his belt and pulls his shirt over it. People must watch this and figure it must be a good idea. After all, Reacher has never shot himself in the butt.
1500 ft — yeah, within effective range of many common rifle calibers. So, inadequate or no backstop for their targets (or else missing really high and off to the side). Some big brained marksmen there.
An 11-year-old boy was fatally shot in Houston after a prank in which he rang the doorbell of a home and ran away, police said Sunday.
The boy had been ringing doorbells as a prank late Saturday evening, the Houston Police Department said in a statement. Commonly referred to as “ding dong ditching,” the prank involves fleeing before someone inside the home opens the door.
The boy, who has not yet been identified, died of his wounds Sunday, police said.
Police spokesperson Shay Awosiyan said that officers were still investigating and had not arrested anybody in connection with the boy’s death as of Sunday evening.
I’ll update this as soon as I see the arrest in the news. It’s not like the police don’t know who the murderer is.
p.s. For your own sanity, I strongly recommend you do not read the comments on the article.
