Stupid people who can't follow the leash laws

The fact that you feel the need to resort to any epithet containing the word “Nazi” reveals beyond a doubt that you are a :wally .

I will not be bound by your mundane conventions. And you are a dildo.

Someone in another thread took a back handed shot at county, basically alluding to the fact he was an idiot, everyone knew it, let’s all move on with the thread.

So I looked up a few of his posts…

I’ve decided to become a countyhead. I’m going to follow him around and watch all the dumb things he types, and I’m going to laugh and laugh and laugh. Sweet blistering fuck, that’s a special kind of stupid.

Well, dammit anway, Dante. You’re probably right, but I spent so much time on my response to a county post in this thread I’m going to post it anyway.

This answer is typical of you, county. jeevmon gave you several good reasons why unleashing dogs is a problem and you answered him with a lame “if you set fire to that dog’s tail” argument that makes you sound like a sixth-grader. You do know the lower age limit for these forums is thirteen, don’t you?

For example, in this thread you “argue” by repeating “this is a Christian nation” over and over again in the face of well-reasoned posts which demonstrate that you are mistaken. I’m surprised by now that when people disagree with you, you don’t just answer, “Oh yeah?”

In answer to the OP, I live in a rural area where far too many people think it’s okay to just let their dogs run loose. Even if the animals didn’t “pack” and create a potential hazard to walkers (like kids coming home from school) they are a danger to themselves. All too frequently I see dogs dead in the highway. They may be furnishing food for the ravens, but their owners ought to be fined or locked up for animal cruelty for neglecting their responsibility to their pets.

Oh yeah. You refute my position on dogs with some shit about “christian nation” wtf.

I believe that there is nothing wrong with leaving a well trained dog on the sit/stay command. You apparently don’t - no need to go researching other threads and expanding your insulting ass posts, of course if you want to, well, that’s ok too.

Why don’t you post on “christian dogs” - that’d make about as much sense as bringing up that christian nation shit.

The link was only to establish that you habitually ignore reasoned arguments and merely repeat your thesis over and over again, laced with personal insults, rather than offering cogent arguments of your own. That is the method of a very immature person, mentally if not chronoligcally. If you are over thirteen, you should at least attempt to argue that way.

What–Swank Frank ain’t good enough for you? Are you anti-fried Twinkies or something?

Don’t tell me you missed the threads in which county basically argued that anyone who didn’t believe in unions should be beaten with an axe-handle.

In moderate defense of county, I did call him a moron first. But I feel very comfortable applying that label to anyone who thinks it’s OK to leave their dog unattended and unleashed in front of a coffee house in a busy, noisy city intersection during rush hour. Note that he seems to be the ONLY one saying that this is acceptable conduct on the part of the dog owner - Eonwe’s described situation concerned a rural environment with fewer distractions.

county’s thesis that as long as the dog is trained, it can be left unattended anywhere, anytime is beyond asinine, and is guaranteed to lead to more dead dogs. And his “la la la I can’t hear you” approach and invocation of the Nazis prove my thesis that he is, in fact, a moron.

Are we forgetting the fire lane thread?

I don’t think I’ve seen that one.

Well, that is a very inaccurate characterization of my post(s) here on this thread.

I argued that a well trained dog can be left unattended (As appropriate) and I compared the dog to a child in similar circumstances (near a street).

As far as personal insults - well, this is the pit.

One of the big problems is that most people with poorly trained dogs don’t seem to think they’ve got poorly trained dogs. So, they’ll leave them alone thinking “Oh, my dog always stays when I tell them to” simply because they have a good track record of three quick visits to grab a cup of coffee. Leaving an animal unattended is just dumb, especially if it’s right by a busy road in a public place (on long road trips, I hate when we leave the dog in the car when we stop to eat. He’s gotten over his “chew on anything” phase, but there’s still the possibility of someone getting in the car and walking off with him [hey, he is a purebred]).

Can’t help but notice that No one has said anything about “Leash-Laws” in their
area. Don’t you people have a leash law where you live? I do, in both the area I live in now, and every other larger town I’ve ever lived in. it’s not just the whole
good idea bad idea thing. There are laws in most areas, it seems, saying
“Leash your friggin dog”. Do police do anything aboutit? Probably not. But it IS
against the law. End of debate.

DrMemory, when I lived fifty miles north, in Cambridge, our wonderfully well-behaved dog (so wonderfully well-behaved that he could be told to make himself invisible when entering stores, and being invisible, was never once ejected from a store) got a $35 ticket for being off the leash in the park across the street from our house. And it was a dog park, at least in that section.

Here in Providence, though, we have so many loose dogs (and cats, so it’s always interesting) running around the neighborhood, blocks from home, that it’s like some kind of a hilbilly paradise. Like Dogpatch. And it’s hell for gardeners. I don’t even know if we have a leash law here, but even if we do, people pay about as much attention to it as they do to red lights.
