Store-brand potato chips are better than national brands.
I prefer the store-brand devil’s food cake mix.

What’s wrong with cake mix cakes? I’ve found they’re usually better than many store-bought cakes… at least mine are. I make good cakes with mixes, tho I don’t make them according to the directions.
In keeping with the OP - my mom gave me a container of mini-crackers from a dollar store, and they were quite yum. And I buy store brand milk rather than any of the name brands - milk is milk.
Yeah, but local brands are really hit’n’miss. Sometimes they are good and unique, and other times they just don’t have the quality control and half the bag is burned.
