Subscript height (location) in Word 2010

I’ve just started using Word 2010 and there’s one problem that bugs me. I believe that subscripts are not lowered enough relative to the base line. Superscripts seem just fine and in previous versions of Word (at least through 2003) the subscripts were fine as well. Does anyone know if there is a way to control the location of a subscript?

The equation editor places subscripts just fine and yes I could always insert an equation when I needed a subscript, but I was wondering if I could do without this.

Hmm this may be a monitor thing if possible. I see on my home computer the subscripts look fine. Or maybe it’s a difference between 32 bit (office) and 64 bit (home) versions of Office.
