Successful weight loss maintainers, what is your maintenance plan

I may only need to lose another 5" on my waist to reach my goal. When i get to my goal i’ll have to switch to a maintenance plan instead of a weight loss plan. Who all here is a weight loss maintainer? Scout? Canvasshoes? Anyone else?

Here is my plan.

  1. Eat 4 servings of dairy a day. Dairy has been shown to help fat loss, so i assume it’ll help weight maintenance too.
  2. Do about 5000 calories in exercise a week. This is about 5 hours of ellipticals, 9 hours of walking, 7 hours of biking, etc. I will probably use mainly biking and walking as my exercise.
  3. Maybe start up High intensity weightlifting. I notice when i do this my appetite goes up ravenously (up to 6000 calories a day). I figure that’s not good for weight maintenance, but maybe it is helping keep my metabolism really high.
  4. Build some more muscle. I already have a fast metabolism (about 3500 a day w/o exercise). If i add more muscle that’ll go up to 4000 a day. Include 800 calories in exercise and i can theoretically eat around 5000 calories a day and still not gain fat.
  5. Go back on a diet 1-2 days a week. On my diet I eat around 3000 calories a day, so i figure 1-2 days a week eat that instead of the 4500 or so i plan to eat.
  6. Maybe start doing HIIT training 2x a week.

Thats about it so far. DOes anyone have any tips or tricks?
