Wow.
The last turtle I ran into (er…not literally…) was trying to cross a busy road. It was in the center of the lane, all tucked into it’s shell - obviously scared out of it’s mind by all the cars running over/around it. I stopped my car, picked it up, carried it to the swamp adjacent and got peed on.
But it was still cute!
