Nope, since the Mississippi river runs east at that point, and each spans the river, both cities lie north of it and both cities lie south of it. My son was born north of the Mississippi river, since Minneapolis Women’s Hospital lies on the north side of town.

That’s ok, South St. Paul is South East…North St. Paul is Northeast.
