I had a similar experience this weekend. All of a sudden the song “My Cup Runneth Over” pops into my head for no reason. Haven’t heard it in years and didn’t really remember the lyrics, just the chorus. But what makes it funny is when I was in 6th grade, my class sang it in a program for our parents! So this weekend when it popped into my head I thought what an odd song for 12-year-olds to sing. I told my husband and he said maybe it’s a religious song. There would have been no problem with that in the early 70s. So I googled it. “My cup runneth over” is part of a psalm. So it thought ok that makes sense. Then I googled the lyrics…
