Suggest me some Middle Eastern style music

My wife has been participating in a Middle Eastern Dance class for quite some time now (almost a year or so) with her sister and a few friends. I really enjoy the music from it, although I mostly have no idea what the words mean. She tries to find songs to practice or listen to but usually gets rather cruddy copies of things. The big problem is that she gets copies of individual songs to practice to, but doesn’t know where to find more of the same. Any dopers have some suggestions on some upbeat Middle Eastern style music, specifically that is pretty accessible via iTunes or other services?

Knock yourself out. Unlike some online music services [not itunes] you pay and download but you stop paying you do not lose the downloads.

i also like some of the bollywood =)

David & The High Spirit - Erev Shel Shoshanim

Ofra Haza’s catalogue might offer something, and should be fairly easy to find.

Also - and this is a little left-field, maybe - a lot of Loreena McKennitt’s stuff has a strong middle-east-meets-celtic flavour that might offer some inspiration.

Anything involving Azam Ali: Niyaz, Vas, or her solo stuff.

Peter Gabriel’s PASSION - it’s the soundtrack for The Last Temptation of Christ.
