Suggest ps2 games to me.

I like fighting games(Capcom vs. Marvel, SSB:M, etc.), I like Rampage games(GTA:3/VC, True Crime: Streets of LA) or games in which you can affect the enviroment. I’d like to play some good superhero games(seems there’s a lack of them).

I liked the first level SW: KOTOR, is the rest of it good?

Nothing too hard - easy enough for a not so great gamer to play it and have fun without it being a kiddy game.

I don’t like Sim/Sports/FF style RPGs games.

If you’re into beat-em-up style games, the ps2 has what I consider the best of the genre. It’s called Mark of Kri, and you can find it for ten bucks or so these days.

For fighting, Soul Calibur or Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution are your best bets.

For FPSs, Red Faction is cool and lets you blow lots of stuff up. Deus Ex is an FPS RPG with lots of shooting and such.

Midway Arcade Classics. For one thing, it’s got Rampage on it. For another, Defender. For a third, Gauntlet. For a fourth… oh, I could go on for hours about the delight of Spy Hunter.

Fighting, I have to agree, VF4:Evolution is my favorite fighting game.

Rampage? Eh… there are things coming. Super Hero? Best two are on the PC. Freedom Force and City of Heroes. Spiderman 2 may be decent, S-1 was great.

The system requirements for those are low enough they’ll actually work on my computer!

Although you don’t like sports games, I suggest giving SSX 3 a try. It’s just barely a sports game, and it’s a great game for exploring the environment, with some ability to affect it (although not much). It’s also great-looking and loads of fun. Another good one for destructible environments and fighting is War of the Monsters.

I hear great things about Spider-Man, but I’m with **E-Sabbath ** on the best platform for superhero gaming. Come join us in City of Heroes. Or, if you have an older PC or just don’t feel like paying a monthly fee for your superhero action, pick up Freedom Force.

SW:KOTOR is a great game, but as far as I know, is only available for PC or XBOX. If you do have (or get) and XBOX, definitely get KOTOR. Also consider Morrowind – it’s an RPG, but very definitely not an FF-style one. It’s first-person, single character rather than party, and amazingly open-ended.

:o I completely forgot that it was only for XBOX(which sucks).

I think Mark of Kri is more properly described as a puzzle game with some fighting. Most of your time (save the last level) is spent figuring out how to kill guards without being seen or heard.

Is the Prince of Persia game good?

Oh! Tony Hawk Underground or Tony Hawk 4 are a lot of pure fun, especially since you can ignore the plot or story and just skate randomly around and do things. I like the music in 4 better, but THUG is a slightly better game. More nuanced.

Well, I think you’re crazy! I played it as a beat ‘em up game with some stealth elements and had a grand ol’ time.

To each his own.

I’d recommend Guilty Gear X2, mainly because it’s a fun fighting game. (I seem to be recommending it in threads remotely related to video games, as I am completely addicted to it.)

The story mode tends to have the weirdest reasons for starting fights with characters, and some of the missions seem to be designed to make you kick your PS2 in a fit of rage, but it has great music, quirky characters and fantastic graphics.

Playing it with friends can spawn a ton of weird quotes, which is either good or bad depending on your viewpoint.

I can’t imagine how you’d get through the last part of level 4 and the beginning of level 5 without loads of stealth.

But yeah, it is a fantastic game, no matter how you decide to play it. The art alone is worth the price of it.

Oddly enough, I just bought it a couple weeks ago. It’s fantastic. A little maddening in parts, particularly when trying to land some of the most difficult jumps, but it’s a great game.

Not a true fighting game, per se. I’d call it more puzzle/jumping oriented.
