But… jumping from Beethoven straight to Shostakovich… No Brahms ? Now that is pure evil.

Heh - I knew someone would call me out for skipping Brahms. I mean, I like the Fourth Symphony well enough but I can live without it. And likewise I’ve discovered that no, I wouldn’t in fact die without Mahler.

Ah, so that’s why his Gyratetotenlieder remains unfinished.

I would have never thought to listen to Vivaldi(to much Four Seasons shoved down my throat during my formative years), but they have been playing a lot of Vivaldi pieces on the classical music station lately. I particularly like rv 522
