Waterloo Sunset or Days by The Kinks.
Waterloo Sunset is awesome(which I had heard before),had not heard Days before, liked it a lot! Thanks!
In a similar vein, try “I Saw The Light” by Todd Rundgren.
“The Wind” by Cat Stevens is the prettiest song ever.
I submit Aubrey by Bread.
“Fluff” by Black Sabbath is a very pretty instrumental, not at all what one might expect from Sabbath. I doubt that anybody who didn’t know who the artist was would ever guess from hearing it.
Oh don’t get me started! Ok, get me started. I live for this.
Pretty? Oh boy, have I got pretty songs for you. They’re not country, folk or Americana but I suppose they could fit in a vague “rock” category, depending on how you define “rock.”

For comparison’s sake, you can hear a sample of the original here. The difference is amazing.

We Rule the School by Belle & Sebastian
About half of their catalog is “pretty” sounding, but the lyrics are melancholy. Not sure which you want…so this one is both pretty-sounding and has pretty lyrics.
Well shoot, that was my pick…
“Hallelujah.” Jeff Buckley’s version is particularly well-known, I think.
“Falling Slowly” from the movie Once. I think you can find recordings by The Swell Season (w/ the girl) and The Frames (w/o the girl).
