Suggestion on a new rule

The responses in that footsie thread gave me some of the biggest laughs I’ve had in a while.

I’d hate to see that go away.
mmm

Do like they do in Canada. Stop voting. And don’t watch the political coverage on TV.

Retire from moderating.

This is the key practical reason to not make this change.

Another thing I’d point out, discouraging questions is not an effective means of fighting ignorance.

Ban all religious threads. And religious answers to non-religious questions.

The first one is too extreme and smacks of censorship.

But I definitely like the idea of banning religious answers to non-religious questions.
(IINM, the Mods already try to intercept and discourage that sort of thing, don’t they?)

+1 :stuck_out_tongue:

This is also the reason we don’t need to limit the board to adults. Catching ignorance before they become adults makes things much, much easier.

I know a lot of people dislike a certain young poster, but he’s honestly gotten a lot better since he’s been here. I wouldn’t want to have to give that up.

And if we raised it to 35, the SDMB could run for President!

We’d never win – too liberal.

It might be closer than you think, after you account for our huge lead among likely to vote zombies.

Those zombies have as much right to vote as any other of the walking dead.
