Summer camp as child care expense for tax purposes

We are sending our kids to sleepover camp for three weeks this summer, first time. How do you determine what part of this is eligible as child care expense for the purposes of a Flexible Spending Account? Zero doesn’t seem right but 100% doesn’t seem right either.

You are not my tax attorney blah blah.

Unfortunately, it is zero. Overnight camps are not child care, and are used as a specific example of an expense that is not eligible for pre-tax treatment or tax credits.

You may find plenty of tax preparers who would take it anyway, but I haven’t seen any authoritative support for that.
