Sunday Morning Puzzle # 62-- A Mystery (with Blanks)

Below you’ll find the beginning of a rather disjointed crime story. Perhaps you can do better! Continue writing the tale that begins with the murder of pastry heiress Ann Spillane. Help the detective delve deep into the mystery. I don’t expect any solver/scribe to be able to complete this story. If someone does, however, I’ll be happy to alert the media. Please make sure your sentences (or sentence fragments) all follow the rule of the puzzle. Also, every time you use a key word, score 1 point. Current point total is 14. Don’t worry too much about the blanks.
