Super Blood Moon eclipse

Damn! Heavy cloud cover here in NE Indiana. Can’t see shit!

It’s starting.

In west central Indiana, it’s starting to rain. No hope of watching it, now. Crap.

I’m in Auburn myself. Worried about the cloud cover. We usually have a good view of the sky but if the clouds don’t cooperate we may be SOL.

Cloudy here in NE Ohio but the clouds are moving fast and providing an excellent frame for the bright moon. It goes in and out of view and is more eclipsed each time. Sitting on my deck with my dogs.

Absolutely clear here, it’s about halfway eclipsed.

Sky totally clear here an hour south of Okaloma City. Cool color(s) to the Moon tonight.

There are some live feeds linked to here ,fwiw, for those who are clouded over.

Are we all supposed to be seeing colors? Everything I’ve seen here is just bright white.

A-fucking-mazing red sky friday night tho. Unrelated to this of course.

I see red here in NYC

Just north of Chicago. We had a beautiful view of the eclipse. Now the clouds have moved back in - so grateful they cleared away for the bit of time they did, as it was perfect.

El Dorado California here. Total clouds.

Darn it. Can’t see a thing.

It’s just visible again. Quite reddish now.

Perfectly clear here near Boston. The moon is dark red, with just a sliver of brightness near the bottom.

Same in Minnesota. I’m always happy to see a lunar eclipse.

Piper Cub and I were out on the front lawn, playing catch with a mini-football and checking on the moon from time to time. Near totality now.

Pretty much total now, with orangish ‘ring’ around edges of Moon. Totally cool looking, though much more pumpkin colored than ‘blood-red’, for sure.

I am curious if myy eyes are deceiving me, though - appears that the luminosity/brightness of the orangish-ring is kinda variable, like brighter in one area then dimming there while brightening in another kinda randomly for a couple seconds at a time. Is this caused by Earth’s atmosphere’s ‘pertubations’, or density/height of upper atmospere’s being somewhat inconsitent over time? Anyone else seeing this kind of ‘changing of color/brightness during the ‘totality’’?? Or are my eyes just deceiving me? A person here also noticed this to domr dmsll degree as well, so either we both have bad eyes, or something is causing such visual effects, I guess.

Cloudy. Red clouds we have. Bit of a bummer, but we had a nice family walk out to try and see it, so that was fun.

The sky was nice and clear in my city in Ma. and a neighbor had some
binocular so I got to see the moon eclipse real good ! I watch it with 4 of my neighbors and it was amazing to see . I might not be around for the next one .

From my last post, it should read as ‘some small’ degree - sorry, typing in dark.

It’s raining here. I couldn’t see much of anything.
