Super Bowl 2008

 yet again. Cry me a river.

Shit, what do I have in the office pool - is it Pats 0 and Giants 7, or Giants 0 and Pats 7?

I forget the first year I watched the Super Bowl all the way through, but this is the dullest one I’ve seen in a while. Blowouts are exciting in the beginning, at least, but this has been a pretty even-keel game with few big plays or bursts of excitement. I think the Boss reception on the last drive may have been the longest play.

Why does the Univ of Phoenix have a stadium when they don’t have a football team?

They just bought the naming rights.

They don’t have a stadium, they bought the naming rights to the stadium.

That used to be a legal play, but it no longer is.

'Cause it’s a shrewd business move?

U2 had to record Rattle and Hum somewhere, right?

So is it analogous to goaltending in b-ball? That was what I thought, but I wasn’t sure.

Did the Giants go to a prevent defense on this drive- why the sudden success with the pass?

The Pats should take a knee three times here to burn clock & time outs, and then socre a TD on 4th down.

One more down to hold 'em, and then the Pats will have to make a key decision. They’d have to take the 3, though, and trust in OT, if it comes to that.

Moss.

That was a helluva drive. Gotta admit.

[expletive deleted, times 10]

Oh, Keee-rist! Oh bloody hell!

Sure was a helluva drive. Let’s see if Eli can lead the Giants down the field now.

Still thinking double digits, Dio?

Here we go…

Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!

Huge amount of Kinetic Energy to the groin on that kick return. Don’t care if you have a cup.

That hissing sound you hear… all those magnums of champagne going flat in Miami (and the New York greater metropolitan area). Crap.

How the hell do you leave Randy Moss in one-on-one coverage on third down in the end zone?

It’s possible. All it would take is a pick return for a TD.

I give the Giants credit for giving the Pats the toughest defense they’ve seen all year, though.
