Super Bowl Commercials 2012

Oh, you nasty boy!

GoDaddy insists on the sex

And there are NEW Pussycat Dolls? How can you tell?

sure they could. it won’t be easy…

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before, allowing an opposing TD to keep more time on the clock.

Oops.

okay, maybe not if they miss passes like that.

now they have to aim for the sidelines.

there you go. got to throw to the sidelines.

Super Bowl XXXII, when the Packers let the Broncos score the TD with TD.

They just share a common origin. The joke is that Twinkies will be one of the things to survive the apocalypse alongside rats and roaches.

good game, good commercials, few toidy breaks.

I thought the Twinkies tie-in was a nod to Zombieland. Maybe I’m reaching though.

Wayne Knight would’ve been funnier IMO.

Well, this has been tons of fun and thanks to everyone for playing! I’m off to watch the episode of Downton Abbey that was taping while the Super Bowl was on.

Later!

ETA:

Oh! You’re right! Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks. I didn’t see that one.

My personal top three adverts for the night:

  1. VW Beetle, dog working out so it can chase the car

  2. Acura, NSX ad with Seinfield ‘n’ Leno

  3. Totota, Camry “reinvented” ad.

Hmm, all for automobiles, whatever that may mean.

Cheers, all.

new pig going “wee” geico commercial.

poor fellow walking with the trophy.

He isn’t a famous car collector, Leno is.

I took the Elton John Pepsi commercial to be a take off of the Golden Globe tiff where he thought Madonna shouldn’t get the award. No Golden Globe for you…

The Bud Light Wego commercial made me laugh out loud

The Motley Crue dream car Optima commercial is also worth an honorable mention.

Great game, but the ad’s were boring mostly. The singer in the Elton John commercial is the X factor winner, Melanie Amaro (I think).

I liked the Doritos ad with the dog and cat.

Anybody see the Jack in the Box commercial with the lack of sound? Occurred in 2nd quarter, then they replayed it (correctly) about an hour later.

Given the punchline in the Acura Seinfeld/leno commercial, they should have replaced Seinfeld with Conan O’Brian.

you mean the same GOP that seemed like they’d have been perfectly happy to see GM and Chrysler fold up?
