Super Bowl question

Because the Super Bowl pits the conference champions (AFC and NFC) against each other from a neutral site, and because we see interconference matchups very regularly during the season, could it be said then that the Super Bowl is just a glorified interconference game?

No. Interconference games are scheduled and played every year, regardless of the participating teams’ performance during the current season. The Super Bowl matches teams that have performed the best during the year to make the playoffs, then survived at least two, and as was the case this year, three, elimination games to earn a spot in the Super Bowl.

That’s a pretty good take on it! I just thought that it was. I’m learning something new every day.

I know, right? And isn’t the World Series just glorified Little League?

Actually the Little league World Series is legitimate “World Series”.
