Super Bowl XLV

Jesus Christ I need a brain enema after that hot mess of a halftime show. I hate the Peas as much as I hate Joe Buck. Slash should be disbarred from coolness, at least temporarily.

BS call.

Autotune is fine in moderation. Used as a extra spice to a performance. Used as the core of a performance it’s an abomination. Like making a dinner with nothing but garlic.

Incidentally, the Ravens collapsed in the second half against the Steelers by dropping a tone of easy passes. Now Green Bay drops a sure TD pass on the opening drive. Hmm.

Blown call on that “facemask”. The Steelers are getting some serious help today.

Bad start for the Pack.

Also, for more intense scrutiny of the halftime show, we’ve got a topic over in Cafe Society.

Assuming you’re talking about the facemask, you’re absolutely right.

Well, considering they were basically performing a cappella since the sound mixer dude left all the instrumental tracks barely audible, I’d say they didn’t do too bad.

I’m going to shock everybody here by saying this, but that was a bad call against the Packers. I can see why the zebra thought it was a facemask, but it wasn’t one.

The backlash would be even worse for that I promise. Everyone’s a critic.

I do like the Black Eyed Peas, but I concede it’s probably a little too niche for this mainstream a show.

And I second that people should realize the autotune is a very purposeful effect, I can see how someone completely unfamiliar could miss that. If you don’t like it that’s understandable though

The Steelers have remembered that they can run the ball…

Nice little TD.

Was that just a commercial about “cramming it in the boot”? That’s almost as good as the old SNL plug for the candy bar: Hershey Highway; turning America’s tastes around.

Ok, I now have another reason to root for the Steelers, so we can stop hearing that no team has come back from a deficit of more than 10 points at every single Super Bowl.

Hey, didn’t Big Ben break every bone in his face? He looks fairly normal. Is there a before and after of his face after his bike wreck?

How 'bout a nice INT?

Don’t worry. There are hundreds of stats just it that be used next year.

Packers haven’t sacked Roflsburger yet.

:::womp:::

Should have punted that puppy.

Considering how close his other kicks have been to near-misses, yeah.

He should have turned to the sidelines and kicked that FG attempt, it might have been close that way.

I don’t think that was a horrible call to try; 52 years right down the middle in a dome. I wonder why he shanked it so badly.

Now I know what my dad was talking about, seeing man walk on the moon for the first time.
