Super-Imposed Dollar Bills

Have you ever seen a Dollar Bill with someone’s face superimposed over George Washington. This is a real dollar bill and still legal tender.

I will give a URL of an example if it is not against the board rules…

If you know what I am talking about, how on earth do they do that??

Thanks,
Jason

I’ve seen them. The most common one is Santa on a dollar bill. But I’ve actually seen a site where they can put your face on one.

No, it’s not legal tender. It’s fake currency. There’s no way the U.S. Mint would issue “Limited-Edition Dollars”. As to how it’s done, it’s with photo-manipulation software, and good printers.

It’s issued by private companies such as this one.

Sorry, I guess the site I listed actually makes legal product. They simply affix a tinted photo on a legal bill, and since the majority of the bill is intact, the Treasury doesn’t care.

So, my question stands…

The only thing I can think of is that they put the dollar in a printer and print the image over George. But, if someone has details on how this is done, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Jason

They use a thin sticker placed over the real photo on the bill.
