Superbowl Ads

My buddies and I most enjoyed the “Alias” promos that they kept running, mainly because Jennifer Garner is the hottest woman on television today. The “Daredevil” ads were just icing on the cake, because Jennifer Garner+tight leather pants=happy college guys.

I pointed out the “Office Space” reference in the Office Linebacker commercial, but no one else had seen it. Kinda disappointing.

To recap: Jennifer Garner’s hot, and Reebok’s commercial was funnier than Lewis Black.

Another voe for Office Linebacker. That one had me rolling. And when he mentioned the TPS reports, that was just gold.

What? No one liked the dog-on-his-head commercial?
The guy wants to go in the bar but no pets allowed, so he puts his dog on his head for fake dreadlocks?

The Ozzy commercial take-off on that Newhart episode was great, espeically the last touch at the end with the lemons for teeth.

The guy from the office even said his name was “Felcher”. Apparently they either didn’t do their research here at SDMB about that “name” or they figured only we’d get it and we’d get a kick out of it or something. I actually half-expected that to somewhat dominate the ad discussion here, actually.

I kind of liked the designated driver ad that had the guy from last year’s superbowl in the back seat.

“Boy them folks suuure were friendly. And that popcorn suuure was good. There wasn’t a single unpopped kernel in the bunch.”

All in all, the weakest lineup of Superbowl Ads. Ever.

Office linebacker was cool. Stealing the freezer full of Bud was funny. And that’s about it.

Levi Strauss wasted their $2.5 million on that really poor CGI buffalo stampede.

The Osbournes/Osmonds was funny once…but I don’t think I’ll look forward to seeing it again.

I can’t believe the pre-game Terminator promo. I automatically assumed it was “synergy”, i.e., the flick was a Disney production…but no…Why would ABC and/or the NFL want to give free time to a Warner Bros picture?

And ABC has decided that the best way to promote Alias was throug pure T&A. If we can’t get 'em through the quality of the program, maybe they’ll show up if we show whatshername in lingerie.

Loved the Office Linebacker commercial. Nothing, however, was as amusing as the Nike Shox ad with the soccer streaker.
