Superbowl Commercials, 2011

There was a Texas-based one for H-E-B (supermarket chain). The song was catchy. I liked it.

The Ozzy/Bieber one was kind of funny, just to have them in the same ad. And he’s gotten rid of that stupid fringe, so that’s a plus.

They already had one, the “Tiny Dancer” one.

I wonder if they’re cutting back this year. Usually it’s two or three funny ones and then a heartwarming Clydesdale commercial.

I laughed at Ozzy/Bieber. Was that Justin made up to look older and balding at the end?

Test baby.

Liked it.

I’ll admit that I giggled inappropriately at “Cram it in the Boot”

OK the baby into the glass made me laugh. Gross, but still made me laugh.

Mini - huh? A bit obvious with the sub sandwich and “cram it in the boot!” How many double-entendres can we sneak into the Super Bowl?

Homeaway.com - pretty good. Love the baby sliding down the glass.

Enalzi: D’oh. See, they’ve conditioned me to look for the Clydesdales.

I was hypnotized by the Elantra commercial. Trippy.

Coke - border guards: that was good.

Okay, they totally got me with that Groupon commercial.

+1

:stuck_out_tongue:

Another trippy Hyundai advert, and liked the Coke “Border Guard” spot.

Loved Groupon, meh on the Coke ad. I liked the first one better.

Carmax

“I’m being carjacked!”

snerk!

The Groupon one was a miss for me - in poor taste.
The Carmax “I’m being carjacked” was nice.

Another good Carmax ad.

What was that camera commercial they showed a while ago, the one with the camera mounted on snowboarders’ helmets and bodies?

I can’t believe they got away with that. It wasn’t even subtle.

Remember the old SNL gag about a candy bar called Hershey Highway: Turning America’s tastes around!

Agree on the Groupon commercial. Really bad taste.

Stella Artois: It was good until he picked up the glass of beer.

Car Max - silly. Made me realize how much customer service has been lost.

Chrysler : Should I root for Detroit or Chrysler luxury? I"m confused. Yeah, you tell 'em Marshall.

Nicely filmed Chrysler commercial. Not saying I’d buy one, you understand…
