I hope Limitless is one that makes it.
Even though I complain about certain things here, overall, I’m pretty happy with the show. I’m quibbling, not hatewatching, so it’s working for me.
Btw Jonathan Chance, do your kids like Agent Carter, too? I think I would have absolutely loved that at their age.
I agree. That would really mess with things. Unfortunately, not possible, since there would be no way for Kandor to get shrank down and placed inside a Kryptonian pod. Kandor was shrank and removed from Krypton long before the destruction of the planet by Brainiac. So far there has been no evidence that has occurred in this universe. No evidence it hasn’t either, so it is still in limbo.
I never saw the first episode, but I saw the second. It could have been in the second, though. I was trying to absorb a lot, and my short-to-long term memory isn’t what it used to be.
Even with Winn already in the know, it would be better for James to say Superman instead of Clark, on the off-chance someone drops by and overhears.
It would be better for James to do that. Especially since that is not too far off from how Winn found out. This James may be cooler than most of the comics versions but he is really, really lousy at keeping the biggest secret on the planet.
That may be a demographic thing.
The point is…this is a relationship show…specifically one about relationships between women. The derring do and such is a sidelight to sisters/mother-daughter/girl-to-girl bonding.
You may disagree but I’ll tell you honestly that my two daughters - ages 15 and 11 - are eating up every minute of it and watching it over and over. It’s giving them exactly what they want.
You are probably right. I’m enjoying those same aspects of the show enough to put up with the offenses to my comic nerdery. Which is good.

Seems likely. TV By The Numbers thinks so.

Sure. But there’s no reason it can’t give them what they want and also have SLIGHTLY less preposterous derring-do and super-hero-ness.
And, as others have said, I still watch and enjoy this show. It’s just super-frustrating that it’s only good when it seems like fairly minor changes could make it great without sacrificing the relationship stuff at all.
I don’t even need great; I’d gladly sign up for “not insultingly stupid at times.”
Renewed, but moving to CW instead of CBS.
Good news all around. It will be a much better fit there.
CW seems like a better fit. I believe their budget is going down but they’ll be able to share effects work with the other DC properties so it should fit better.
Now, can they integrate this show into the existing DC-CW universe? They had the crossover with Flash but they made sure to tell us that he was visiting from another reality.

It will be interesting to see what changes they make to the series.
The only concern I have with CW is budget and the move to Vancouver.
The move means some of the actors will stop coming - Lucy Lane’s actress has already said she’s not moving with with the show, which I am not all that disappointed by, and Calista Flockhart, David Harewood, Melissa Benoist (duh) have said they’re staying. Dunno about Chyler Leigh, or the two playing Jimmy and Winn. Honestly I could do without Jimmy, so I wouldn’t be that upset if he left too. Winn I think is good for the show.
The budget just means the effects will get cheaper. I remember Red Tornado looked awful, so I don’t want more of that. My concern is that now that J’onn is out in the open, there’s not much reason for him to stay in Hank Henshaw form other than budget. Which probably means he will stay in that form for all but a sweeps week fight. I guess I am ok with that as long at the Martian doesn’t start looking like a 90s video game character.
It should have been on CW to begin with. The special effects on Flash and Arrow are at least as good as on SG.
Winn makes a decent Cisco. Even sounds just like him sometimes. Make him gay or bi though.
I was glad to hear the show was renewed, since I want to see the crossover they’re planning with The Flash next season (and with Tom Welling as Superman! I’m wondering if he’ll be the Superman from Supergirl’s Earth, or if he’ll be the Smallville Superman.)
I wonder if they’ll bite the bullet and have her shift universes to be in sync with the other shows. It would allow them to also explain why the look of the show will be different in Vancouver.
How does the CW even have room for the show? Didn’t they renew everything for the 2nd year in a row? (Except for Beauty & the Beast, but that hasn’t really been part of their regular line up anyway, just something to burn off in the summer)

Legends of Tomorrow had a sorta-kinda half-season schedule. They could show Supergirl in its slot in the fall then bring in Legends in the spring.
It’s official. CW released their schedule and Supergirl is still on Mondays at 8.
This means they have a Comic book show every day of the week except Friday.

Unless I missed it, they haven’t announced which day they’ll air RIVERDALE.

Let’s keep Supergirl in the feminist grrrl dimension. It works there. I see no reason for the Flash to exist in the same dimension, where men aren’t actually there to keep the woman down.
There’s already talk of four-way crossovers between all the DCTVerse shows. I’m not necessarily opposed to these crossovers. There’s usually cool character stuff that gets explored on these shows, like Laurel Lance actually smiling when she appeared on The Flash, not to mention the sheer spectacle of multiple superheroes duking it out. But I felt this season’s Flash/Arrow crossover setting up for Legends of Tomorrow somewhat dragged down advancing the main plot for both shows. Seeing Diggle’s reaction to Supergirl, not to mention Martian Manhunter, should be worth it, though.
