Wouldn’t the lower air pressure make it harder to pitch a curveball?
good call!
Yeah, the curve ball thing is a good point, too. I had not thought about the air density thing in that regard.
Also learning how to walk down inclines (See: Moon is a Harsh Mistress) and some other habitual adaptations that a native Lunarian would have, and a tourist would not have.

when I push things, usually the limiting factor is my strength. I’m usually not standing on such a slippery surface that my own strength pushes me back before the object moves.
Then again, I suppose this might be a limiting factor on the moon, unless one has leverage somehow.
“one more crack like that and it’s POW!.. to the moon Alice!”
the Great One
Having just quickly scanned this thread, I’d say that on the moon, Superman could still win in a fight against Mayor Whiplash.
Nitpicking follows:
** The planet Krypton has a greater gravitational feild than Earth. A kyrptonian’s body is also more dense than an Terran. It is able to absorb radiation to suppliment nutrition intake. Their eyes produces their own light to see with. thats why superman flies, is bulletproof, very strong and has heat vision.
** if you grown up on the moon, you would develop the muscles that would best suit your environment. ou would have skinny legs but your bone mass would still be strong if you lifted stuff regularly. Upper body is bigger as well as the arms because they would be used more than on earth. Your sense of balance is better attuned and hand eye coordination would improve due to its greater use.
** a terran would have some advantage over a lunarian but certain disadvanges as well. after a while, their legs will become weak and lose bone density, they will not be as coordinated on the moon. their arms will not be as developed, and they will get disoriented due to the lower gravity messing with their inner ear.
Of course, if Superman were to fly around the moon at light speed, he could reverse its rotation and…
…what?
I didn’t really mean in the long term… just seems a lunarian would grow up with strength reasonable for the moon… someone who grew up on earth then moved to the moon could be many many times stronger than the average of the area…
in my mind… it seems an interesting situation, one where suddenly someone appears (moveing from earth to the moon) with strength far suppassing the average man’s but over the following year… atrophy to possibly even a lower strength.
the debate is “what would the effects be if certain people in the population started gaining massive superstrength then slowly fell to frailty”
Being on moon would make you a fair dinkum cobber.
