Supervisor Peggy West ~~>THE COLLAR OF SHAME

I give you … Peggy West of Milwaukee.
She might want to reconsider her support for the boycott of Arizona.

Arizona shares a 389 mile international border with Mexico.

ooopsie!

Man - that would embarrass the hell out of me, to be exposed in such a stupid error publicly.

Summary for those of us who can’t get to YouTube from where we are or just don’t want to bother to watch the video?

Miss West states that she might reconsider her support of boycotting Arizona if Arizona was actually on the border like Texas.

Watch the video when you can.
It’s pretty funny.

What is the the supervisor of?

She.

Milwaukee County Supervisor

She’s a District Supervisor.

Thank god I’m not in the 12th district, is all I can say. (District 3, represent.)

maybe she also believes as literal that old joke about the 16th Street Viaduct connecting Aftrica and Poland.

These days, it’s probably more like Africa and Mexico. Or maybe Vietnam. I dunno if that area is still as Hmong as it was when I was younger. I’m really hoping that the 2010 census results kick somebody else to the top of the “most segregated” list for large cities, but somehow I’m doubting it. :frowning:

Video pulled from youtube.

Moving from IMHO to MPSIMS.

Ellen

She could possibly run for Miss Teen South Carolina, if politics doesn’t work out.

Already dead.

Well, that’s pretty sad.

I don’t have a lot of practical use for the knowledge of which U.S. states share a border with Mexico, but nevertheless it’s rattling around in my head thanks to a helpful mnemonic from more than 25 years ago. I hope she’s ashamed of herself.

I have to admit, since she self-identifies as Latina, I’m really curious about where her family originally emigrated from. If it was Mexico, that would make this especially hilarious. Could be Puerto Rico, though–IME, for a Hispanic person in Milwaukee, it will probably be one of those two.

Regardless of her tacit knowledge of state geography, as someone that apparently was preparing to speak on the topic of a potential boycott by her county of Arizona, she should have bothered to do a bit of research of her points before she spoke.

I’m guessing her re-election will be in jeopardy.
