Support groups.

Everyone is unique in a uniquely unique way.

On average? You know, ten bucks an hour is the minimum wage in the state. And many low-wage employers (McDonalds, Taco Bell, KMart, etc.) pay better than that, as a starting salary, even for the sixteen-year-old in his or her first job. Meanwhile, you’re what? A fortysomething adult with a PhD (never mind that it’s in a field you never fail to remind us you hate) doing programming work. What is wrong with this picture?

Let’s not split biometric hairs.

I don’t know where you live, but there must be some bars around. If you find yourself in western Pennsylvania, I’ll take you out to a bar and in a few hours you’ll be regaling in how much stranger some of your new friends are than you.

Definitely – on many support groups people are even more strange and depressed then me. Thus I must take care of myself to avoid becoming like them.

You can do programming work?

Ever consider doing freelance gigs? Some jobs you might not even have to interact with hu-mons.

As discussed previously, this is similar to many threads you’ve started before. Please confine such discussion to the thread where the note was first posted.
