“Grease” (unvoiced s; pronounced like the country) and “greasy” (unvoiced s) – fine; pronunciations “greeze” (as per wolfman) and “greezy” (both voiced s) – ugghh !!
I thought the proper pronunciation was “wee-nee-dog”.
I agree, unless the word is paired with “spoon”; “greazy spoon” so much more, well, greazy, than “greasy spoon”.
When Peter Lorre guested on The Jack Benny Show, he used a line from a commercial, with a unique pronunciation: “Are you still using that greazy kid stuff on your hair?” 
Minor nitpick. Costed is a word in English, it just doesn’t mean what your daughter seems to think it does.
‘we costed the project at £20,000.’
Just looked it up though and apparently that construction isn’t really used in American English. I’m from the UK. Nitpick withdrawn.
