They probably speed the way to the SCOTUS losing authority which would effectively repeal Roe in any case.
The Supreme Court seems to have some profound internal problems that the leak has only aggravated and has the court clerks running scared.
I’m surprised they didn’t just find a scapegoat clerk to fire and call it a day.

It seems the justices are protective of their clerks. Not to mention the clerks are presumably very intelligent lawyers in their own right and not so easy to walk over.
Just guessing though. I really don’t know.
In addition, this has been one of the least productive Supreme Courts in over 150 years. They’ve taken a small number of cases, and, even with that, they’re way behind in the issuance of their opinions. It’s traditionallthat the Supreme Courts have their rulings done by July 4th, but unless this court picks up the pace a ton, they’ll miss that too. I do not think history will look too kindly on the current Roberts Court.
This is what happens when the court’s affairs aren’t confidential. You can’t just pick a fall guy because some snitch will overhear and won’t have the sense to keep their trap shut.
I’m not sure where it belongs, but … anybody else notice that a particular Californian was upset enough with some recent SCOTUS news to take a drive East and try to pay a visit to Justice Kavanaugh at home ?

I am willing to bet Kavanaugh’s judicial response is more guns are the best answer to this.
Totally ignoring that he has protection that 99.99% of the population does not.

OK, so, back to topic, when is the Supreme Court going to issue the ruling? We were told it was June and June is now 2/3 over.
The Court releases decisions on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Sometimes on Monday but I’m not sure how often. So we could see something as early as tomorrow.
Today is a Holiday.
I’m aware. It’s also not Tuesday or Wednesday. Mondays aren’t normal days for opinions to come out but it has happened occasionally. T & W are the standard days.
