A few years ago, the employees at the Wal-mart at Jonquière, Québec, unionised.
Wal-Mart shut down the store, saying it was not profitable.
Union filed an unfair labour practice complaint with the provincial labour board, arguing that the real reason for the closure was anti-union.
It’s been working it’s way through the courts, and today, the Supreme Court of Canada announced that it will grant the union leave to appeal: Supreme Court of Canada agrees to hear Wal-mart appeal.
