Surge protectors: TrippLite vs. Belkin

I’ve always bought TrippLite surge protectors. They seem like a stand-up organization.

They paid up when one of my TVs got fried through one of their units.

Of late I see Belkin products muscling their way in the market place.

Does anyone know of any definitive studies comparing the effectiveness/quality of these two product lines?

I’ve not read any studies on this, so this is strictly opinion, but I’ve preferred Belkin. Dollar for dollar they seem to have somewhat better specs, and I’ve never had a surge-related failure using one.
