I know we’ve already had a few Hornblower / Aubrey threads, but in the great tradition of the Enterprise vs. Imperial Star Destroyer arguments I thought I’d start this one.
It’s 1805, somewhere off the western coast of south America, and for some reason the Surprise and the Lydia go after each other. Let’s say Aubrey has Pullings as his 1st, and Hornblower has Bush. Aubrey also has Maturin, of course. I don’t recall what the name of Hornblower’s surgeon was, but he was dead by this point in the voyage anyway. Add whoever else you want from the respective series to the rest of the crews and tell me who has the better chance of sailing away the winner.
Bonus question: Sophie vs. Hotspur.
