The establishment Dems are never ever going to change. They will pose for a photo with a war criminal and not even bat an eyelid. They will vote for people like Marco Rubio. They think that Trump getting a Nobel Peace Prize isn’t a bad thing. They aren’t ever going to listen.
If I intended to say “don’t bother to fight” then I would simply say “don’t bother to fight.”
But merely observing a situation and saying how you feel about that situation is just that. Nothing more.

Because I had to add that part. Otherwise, you probably would have assumed I meant “people should stop fighting” as well. The only reason I decided to write that explicitly was because of so many bad faith readings of what other people have said.
No you didn’t. You said he implies that no one should fight anymore. That “a way to say in reality: don’t bother to fight.” You aren’t actually arguing with things they actually said: but things that you think that they said.
I’ve only made a handful of posts in a thread with over 4000 posts. All but one of them in response to things that were said to me, including a rather deranged attack from the moderator here. I hardly think that I’m the problem. I’m easy enough to ignore. Just don’t respond to me or ignore me.
