It occurred to me a while back that it also defies Goldstein’s concept of the perpetual struggle among the High, Middle and Low (that the Middle incite the Low to rebel against the High, then when the High fall and the Middle take their place, the Low are summarily pushed back down). Now we have the High inciting the Middle and Low against each other, while the High sit back and enjoy the carnage. (And the Middle and Low are simultaneously incited against the Other, raising that conflict above its usual simmer.)
Feel free to create your own reality on that. The fact is that even conservatives that followed the rules were made to feel unwelcomed and were/are held to different standard of argument by the community. Nothing to do with the mods.
That’s your story.
What different standard was/is that?
Try #4773.
Failure #4773.
I have to say: I’m pretty far to the right on plenty of issues, and off the top of my head I don’t recall seeing a double standard when it comes to the rules.
I was just telling someone the other day how during Trump1 some conservatives that had been on the board for years decided that they could behave like Trump and say whatever they wanted without consequence. It was amazing to see it play out here just like it was playing out with his fans in the real world. And there were consequences for that behavior here.
I didn’t say rules. I said treatment by other users. See below.
One I can think of off the top of my head: there’s at least one left-leaning user that will ask gotcha questions and badger people if they don’t answer yet refuses to answer similar questions when they are shown to be wrong. They get a pass on this from the community here. Right-leaning posters do not.
Again, it’s about the community making the Right feel unwelcomed - not the mods. And I could probably name half a dozen users that are proud of that and think all non-Lefts should leave this board.
Gee, that certainly wasn’t Fague As Fuck, was it?
Could you at least pretend to do better, or has this just become an autoreponse to you?
Yeah, you could…but you probably won’t, because that would actually be something solid for people to look at.
Let’s call your post irony.
Let’s call your post absolute bullshit.
You win!!
You still never answered if you think Vermont is a red state when I called you out on it. Mentioned it again so you can’t claim you didn’t see you were dodging the question.
Plus you got called out doing it with smapti in threads.
Like I said, go ahead and create your own reality.
It’s your tizzy-have fun with it.
Eh, I’m pretty liberal, and i generally feel welcome here, but I agree that conservatives are often made to feel unwelcome. The mods try very hard to be impartial in moderation. But random posters expressing random opinions don’t work terribly hard at that, as there’s no special reason for them to do so.
And my point is proven. Thank you.
Unless you want to answer the question here: Do you still believe Vermont is a red state as you have claimed?
A blue ball found at the beach during low tide would “prove your point”.
I can only assume it’s a Blue Lives Matter ball.
So you still refuse to answer? Good to know. Question now is why? Oh and how many here will call me the asshole for holding you accountable for your claims, but will likewise call out any righties that argue the same way as you? Make a bullshit statement then ignore when they are shown to be wrong.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the amazing Non Sequitur Man!!
