Surprises coming for voters for the Leopards-Eating-Faces Party

Hey now. We have enough problems already, we don’t want Musk back thank you very much.

This may just be more agreement with you, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that The Apprentice is a Mark Burnett production, who has also produced the very popular Survivor series, another show that celebrates and elevates selfish douchebaggery.

Thank you.

The more details, the more cringeworthy.

In a room full of his supporters, perhaps.

Which reminds me of a recent Xit from Elon stating that he wants “Never Went To Therapy” on his tombstone. Which I agree with, as long as we add “And Boy Howdy Did It Show”.

Admirably modest, but not quite modest enough. I

I’m OK with him being deported to South Sudan.

Mars?

Aw, such warm, Hallmarkesque sentiments.
How about:
“Was never called a Poopyhead. (well, to my face, anyway)”

Donny wouldn’t be the smartest person in the room even if he were in a Port-A-Can.

And lets hope the date on that stone is before this coming Father’s Day.

Nah. South Africa owes us. We just took 50-odd white supremacists off their hands. The least they can do is take one back.

I’d say you can’t make us, because Musk lost his SA citizenship when he naturalized as an American. But unfortunately our highest court just ruled the law that made that happen unconstitutional. (A good ruling in general but unfortunate as applied to Elon.)

I have a Trump voting family member who has been working for NASA on unmanned spaceflight missions for a long time. I haven’t heard anything for certain, but he must be sweatin’ bullets about now.

It is a fine thing that you said!

Actually there are TWO I need them to take back. Just those two and I’ll call it even.

During the first few year of his first administration I was mollified by thinking of him sitting in a prison cell somewhere contemplating how he could have remained for the rest of his life, grifting several hundred thousand here, a couple million there, and escaping justice because he was under the radar for anyone powerful enough to take him down. But then he got elected President, all eyes were upon him and forces beyond his ken would be set in motion that would grind him down and throw the remains behind bars for the rest of his natural life.

Boy, did I have faith in American institutions. Boy was I naive.

You were under a misimpression: the American way was to NOT go after former Presidents to “grind them down”, no matter what, ex-POTUSes don’t go to jail. Gerald Ford put it for the record and Mitch McConnell reaffirmed it. At most we mildly inconvenience them like Clinton losing his law license when he no longer needed it.

You go away, we leave you alone in peace. That was part of the “unwritten gentlemen’s agreements” that were the real glue holding things together until we got a crew in power who did not want to even pretend they played by gentlemanly rules.

Trump is not capable of “contemplating” anything, certainly not in any way that resembles authentic self-awareness or self-reflection.

It was a fantasy, projecting upon him what I would have been doing myself.

Well, if the executive won’t hold and the legislature won’t hold, and the judiciary won’t hold, there are only two paths forward: Surrender or blood.

I know. But you’re normal. He is not.

It’s a predictable trajectory. Just not sure how long it will take or what it will actually look like.
Hope I am long gone when it materializes.
